Scenarios can’t predict the future, so what’s the point? Session 2

Picture taken from the Años Luz'09 catalogue Building scenarios is like making a journey of exploration. [1] That's what we do everyday, isn't it? We go uphill towards the top of the mountain. How can we get there? How long will the journey take? Which gullies will we find on the way? Which scenic views will we be able to enjoy? Who will we meet uphill? We don't know... But in order to get to the summit, we need to get ready for the journey: Studying different routes; Packing well with all the just-in-cases but taking care of not burdening up our rucksacks; Deciding whether we are going solo or we belong to a roped team; Getting the strongest rope, the most accurate map, the precisest compass; Training our resilient minds and bodies; Pricking up our ears and being on the lookout; _____________ [1] "Scenarios: an Explorer's Guide."
